Tyngsborough Conservation Commission Continues All Three New Development Cases to June 23

Conservation Commission · Meeting of June 9, 2026

Tyngsborough Conservation Commission deferred action on all three new development cases at its June 9 meeting, continuing each to June 23. Chair Ed Derby and the full commission voted unanimously to continue hearings for a condominium septic replacement at 15-18 Cannon Gate Road, a 3,505-square-foot restaurant project on Kendall Road submitted by Sampson Concrete Construction, and a high-speed diesel fueling facility proposed by Global Partners LP at 95 and 99 Westford Road. The Cannon Gate case drew the most public comment, with residents describing years of flooding, sewage backups, and foul odors at the complex; the existing system is being pumped every other day, but Hancock Associates engineers confirmed no final design has been submitted to the Board of Health.

On the Westford Road project, Derby stated bluntly, "If it's heading towards wetlands, if it's going under industrial way, I'm not going for this," after raising questions about a drainage pipe of unknown destination running behind the existing gas station. The commission approved removal of three dead pine trees at 2 Geraldine Place near Lake Mascuppic and issued a tree-clearing permit for 116 Kendall Road.
