Town Sets Paving Start Date, World Cup Watch Parties

SUDBURY — A Sudbury accounting firm owner was sentenced to prison this week in a federal tax and pandemic-relief fraud case, according to Patch, while town officials moved ahead with plans for summer road paving and free World Cup watch parties at Fairbank Community Center.

The Department of Public Works announced that Sunshine Paving will begin work on the town's 2026 Annual Paving Project starting Monday, July 13, covering a dozen roads across Sudbury, per the town's News Flash.

The Parks and Recreation Commission announced two free FIFA World Cup watch parties at Fairbank Community Center — Saturday, July 18 at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 at 2:30 p.m. — open to residents looking to catch upcoming tournament matches on a big screen.

Sudbury Public Schools posted a projected enrollment update as of July 1, alongside the School Committee's agenda packet and meeting notice from its July 6 session. The School Committee's calendar shows further meetings scheduled for Monday, July 20, and Monday, July 27, with location still to be determined for the latter.

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School's site noted the district has launched a new website and is migrating content, with no new events currently posted to its calendar as of this week.
