Arlington Public Schools Marks Completion Of New High School Building

Arlington Public Schools marked completion of its new high school building this week, celebrating the milestone in a superintendent's update posted to the district website, as the district also touted continued gains in the state's 2025 school accountability results.

TOWN HALL Town officials are seeking volunteers for openings on Arlington's Human Rights Commission, according to a notice highlighted this week on the district's website alongside other public announcements. Residents interested in serving are directed to the town's boards-and-commissions listings for application details.

SCHOOLS Arlington Public Schools celebrated the completion of the new Arlington High School building, according to a superintendent's update posted to the district site this week, capping a long-running facilities project for the district.

The district also reported that Arlington Public Schools continued an upward trajectory in the state's 2025 accountability results, per a report posted to the district website, though specific scores were not detailed in the announcement itself.

Separately, APS said it is rolling out reusable dishware across school cafeterias as part of a new sustainability push, according to a district announcement.
