Ashland Library Sets Virtual America's 250th Author Talk Monday

ASHLAND — Ashland Public Library kicks off the week with a virtual talk tied to the nation's 250th anniversary and a new toddler music session, part of a fresh slate of early-August programming for families and adults.

The library's "Celebrating America's 250th" series continues Monday, Aug. 3, with a virtual conversation featuring author Lars D. H. Hedbor discussing his novel "The Convention." The same day, the library hosts its in-person Monday Knit and Crochet Club for adults, and a Take & Make Kit for families is available Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 3-4.

On Tuesday, Aug. 4, the library adds Clocktown Rockers, a new music session for children ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver. The library's Online Adult Summer Reading Challenge also continues to run in rolling sessions this week.

COMING UP

The Minuteman Library Crawl runs Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 3-4, across participating area libraries. The Select Board holds a budget workshop and a hybrid regular meeting Wednesday, Aug. 5.
