Sudbury disability commission presses 250th planners on cannon fire and inaccessible fields. Sudbury 250 Committee Chair and Select Board member Radha Gargeya presented a draft site plan for the May 16 semiquincentennial, running 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. across the town center with 30 vendor stalls, food trucks, shuttle vans from Nixon School and Lincoln-Sudbury, and a Sudbury Minutemen encampment. Commissioners pushed to publish cannon-firing times, provide noise-canceling headphones and keep children's games off the inaccessible Noyes fields.

Vice Chair Elizabeth Strzok, citing her autistic son and her own PTSD, called noise protection essential. The commission voted 4-0 to endorse Kay Bell for the CWATARO advisory committee. Combined Facilities Director Sandra Duran said she will seek $200,000 at May town meeting to advance the ADA transition plan and previewed an April 30 Haskell Fields and Fairbank Community Center workshop.
