Ashland Planning Board flags unpermitted Squam River boat slips for June investigation. Two River Street residents, Michael Sirianni and Raymond Art, president of the Squam River Landing Boatslip Condo Association, told the board at its May 21 meeting that Cotton Falls LLC appears to be selling as many as seven boat slips on residentially zoned land at assessor parcel 103-038-000-000 without adequate town review, with docks possibly extending beyond a state-approved 10-by-18-foot footprint to 10 by 24 feet. The board directed staff member Jane to contact the Department of Environmental Services and pull the full permit file, and appointed two members to conduct individual site visits before the June 18 meeting, when the applicant will be formally noticed to appear.

In other business, the board completed a line-by-line review of revised rules and procedures, adding language on conditional approvals and confirming that virtual attendance does not count toward a quorum, with a clean final draft set for adoption June 18.
