Planning Board approves revised Ally Vet signs over neighbor objections

LINCOLN — April 14, 2026 — Lincoln Planning Board approves Ally Vet signs and hears a 144-unit Stonegate pitch. The board on April 14 unanimously approved a revised sign permit for Ally Specialty Veterinary Center at 16 Mill Street — one 24-by-18-inch ground sign capped at 5 feet and one 24-by-16-inch building sign — over objections from Mill Street neighbor Bob Domnitz, who said the focus "should be wayfinding not advertising" and has filed a ZBA appeal of the Dover Amendment determination. The board also unanimously approved site plan changes at 145 Tower Road for Don and Gina Halsted and found a new rear loading dock at Codman Community Farms a minor change. Roy MacDowell of Baystone Development presented a conceptual 144-unit rental development with 25 percent affordable units on the 6.5-acre former Stonegate Gardens site at 339 South Great Road; Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi pushed for purchasable starter cottages instead, and member Margaret Olson outlined paths through Fall 2026 State of the Town toward a March 2027 zoning vote. DeLisi and Co-Chair Gary Taylor were reappointed for another year, and Planning Director Paula Vaughn-MacKenzie said she is seeking $200,000 in state funding for a Comprehensive Plan consultant.
