Pepperell Board of Health reviews zoning warrant articles, presses tobacco compliance case. Members unanimously approved amended minutes from March 17 and July 14, 2026, and heard from Health Agent Kaylene that a package of proposed zoning bylaw changes, including a provision allowing multi-unit housing on 5,000-square-foot lots served by water and sewer, is "a lot of letters and words on a page." The board also directed staff to follow up with tobacco-compliance contact Joan after a recently sold 7-Eleven was flagged for possibly selling an unapproved flavored tobacco product, saying "if we give these business owners a license to sell tobacco products, they need to be selling approved ones." Kaylene reported Massachusetts remains at "moderate" risk for West Nile virus statewide, with recent cases in Dunstable and Brookline, and said a site visit with the Building Commissioner is planned for September 17 ahead of an end-of-month compliance deadline.
