Littleton lands $96,690 grant for regional transit relaunch
LITTLETON — CrossTown Connect, the regional transportation management association serving Littleton and neighboring towns, has been awarded a $96,690 grant to relaunch its transportation programs, the town announced this week.
TOWN HALL The Town of Littleton announced that CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association has received a grant of $96,690 to relaunch regional transportation programs, according to the town's news postings. The grant is expected to support transit and commuter services across the CrossTown Connect service area, which includes Littleton.
The town also highlighted continued progress on long-term financial planning, pointing to a new Massachusetts OPEB (Other Post-Employment Benefits) summary report showing the town maintaining strong momentum on managing its long-term liabilities. Separately, town officials touted a new "Advancing Accessibility in Littleton" grant award aimed at improving accessibility efforts locally, and the Planning Board is circulating an Acton & Littleton Transportation Improvement Survey seeking public input on regional transportation planning.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Littleton Public Library is consolidating its teen programming this summer into a single weekly gathering: Friday Chat & Snacks, open to rising seventh- through 12th-graders, will bring teens together in the McLure Room to socialize, play games, eat snacks, and make art.
The library's Live Art Book Club for elementary and middle schoolers also continued this week, with local artist Kaio Scott illustrating "James and the Giant Peach" live for young readers, followed by drawing time for attendees.
COMING UP The Select Board meets Monday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 103 at Town Hall, followed by a joint meeting with the Housing Authority at 6:45 p.m. the same evening. The Council on Aging Board also meets Monday, July 13, at 3 p.m. at 33 Shattuck St., Program Room 2, and the School Committee's Negotiating Subcommittee meets that day at 4 p.m. in the Murray Conference Room at the library.
The Affordable Housing Trust meets Tuesday, July 14, at 6:30 p.m., held in hybrid format in Room 103 at Town Hall and via Zoom.
