Hopkinton Public Library to Close Four Days for Independence Day Weekend
The Hopkinton Public Library's holiday closure and a slate of end-of-June and early-July community programs headline a quiet Monday in town, with no new announcements from Town Hall or the school district in this cycle.

The Hopkinton Public Library will be closed Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 5, for Independence Day weekend, with regular hours resuming Monday, July 6. During the summer season, the library is open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed Sundays through Labor Day.
Before the closure, the library has two events on the calendar for Monday evening, June 30: the Magic: the Gathering Club meets from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Children's Programming Room, and the Board of Library Trustees holds its regular meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ellsworth Conference Room.
The library is also highlighting June guest librarians Ian Richardson, Administrative Assistant for the Town Clerk's office and Human Resources, and his fiancé Ashleigh, who put together a list of horror recommendations for fellow readers.
