Ayer Tax Taking Set for Noon Monday at Town Hall
Ayer's Collector of Taxes has scheduled a tax taking at Town Hall at noon today, June 30 — the final opportunity for property owners with delinquent accounts to resolve outstanding balances before the town formally records a lien against those properties.

The Office of the Collector of Taxes has posted notice that a tax taking will occur at noon today, Monday, June 30, at Town Hall, 1 Main Street. Property owners who have not yet paid overdue tax bills should contact the Collector's office before that deadline; once a taking is recorded, the process of clearing a lien becomes considerably more involved and costly.
Also visible on the town homepage this cycle: mandatory water restrictions that have been in effect since May 1 remain in place. Residents are reminded to comply with those use limits heading into a holiday weekend when lawn and outdoor water use typically spikes.
The town has also been tracking proposed changes to the Devens governance structure, a standing item that continues to be listed among active news items on the town's official website.
