Concord eyes $10 million in housing value on town land, approves cemetery marker. A consultant study from U3 Advisors found redeveloping the Peabody School, Ripley School and a third site could generate roughly $10 million and 66 housing units, though Select Board member Paul Boehm said he was "not ready to give up" on denser affordable housing at Peabody despite unfavorable economics there. The board voted unanimously to install a Black Heritage Historical Trail Marker outside Sleepy Hollow Cemetery after the Cemetery Committee informally opposed placing it on cemetery grounds.
Members also nominated five people, including newcomer Janie Neetz and zoning veteran Sue Felshin, to a new Bylaw Codification Committee. A proposed hate and bias reporting system drew sharp debate, with member Cameron calling it "a little bit Orwellian," while the board agreed it needs further legal review before any launch.
