Carlisle Cemetery Committee Elects New Chair, Approves Three Lot Actions
CARLISLE — May 6, 2026 — Carlisle Cemetery Committee installs new chair and approves three lot transfers at May meeting. The committee elected Beth Ann Neuser as chair and Rebecca Note as vice chair, both by 4-0 votes, and appointed Note to the columbarium subcommittee alongside Bridget Rodri. Staff liaison Tish reported that Town Meeting approved $850,000 for expansion of the CBLL columbarium, with engineering firm HSI expected to meet with the subcommittee within the month to begin planning. The committee approved a long-pending lot transfer at Sleepy Hollow from the Chase family to the descendants of Helen and Robert Corson — a cleanup of a 1973 arrangement in which a friend purchased the lot on behalf of the Corsons, who were ineligible to buy directly — and accepted the return of three Dogwood Path lots from Cynthia and Brian Deicher for their original purchase price of $7,200. The committee also amended an April vote to remove lot 44 on Acacia Path from a Shapiro family trust transfer after a database error was discovered.
