Boxborough Sets Sept. 23 Hearing on New Fire Station Site Plan

BOXBOROUGH — The Planning Board will hold a public hearing Wednesday, Sept. 23, on the site plan for a proposed new fire station at 984 Massachusetts Avenue, with the town's calendar noting that quorums of both the Select Board and the Fire Station Building Committee may also be present.

The fire station hearing anchors a busy stretch of town business over the next week. The Board of Assessors meets Monday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m. at 29 Middle Road. The Housing Board follows Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m., also at 29 Middle Road, with the Acton Boxborough Cultural Council meeting that same evening at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 23, is the week's heaviest night on the municipal calendar. Beyond the 7 p.m. Planning Board public hearing on the proposed fire station site plan at 984 Massachusetts Avenue, the Planning Board holds its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m., with a pre-hearing notice listed for 7:35 p.m., and the Economic Development Committee meets in hybrid format at 8 p.m.

The Design Review Board meets Thursday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Fire Station Building Committee at 7 p.m. at 29 Middle Road. The week closes out Saturday, Sept. 26, with the Weed Warriors Work Party from 9 to 11 a.m.
