Winchester Sets Monday Deadline For Fall Town Meeting Warrant Articles

Warrant articles for Winchester's 2026 Fall Town Meeting are due Monday at 5 p.m., town officials announced, even as overnight MBTA construction work continues to close Cross Street through the weekend.

TOWN HALL

Residents and town boards looking to bring items before Fall Town Meeting have until 5 p.m. Monday, September 21, to submit warrant articles, according to a notice posted to the town's News Flash feed. The submission window gives town committees and citizen petitioners just days to finalize proposals ahead of the meeting.

Separately, the town flagged ongoing MBTA work on Cross Street that began at 10 p.m. Friday, September 18, and is expected to run nightly through 6 a.m. Monday, September 21. Drivers in the area should expect disruptions through the weekend.
