Weston School Committee to Negotiate New Zaleski Contract
Superintendent Karen Zaleski's contract will be up for negotiation in the coming weeks, according to a Weston Observer report, as her current agreement runs out at the end of the fiscal year. The news came the same day Weston Fire Chief Justin Woodside announced he is seeking statewide office within the Fire Chiefs Association of Massachusetts.

Chief Woodside announced his candidacy Thursday for second vice president of the Fire Chiefs Association of Massachusetts, framing his run around years of service to the Weston Fire Department and to the broader Massachusetts fire service. The announcement, posted to the association's website, puts a Weston official in contention for statewide leadership as FCAM's 2026 elections approach.
Separately, the town is reminding residents to get ready for the Nov. 3 state election, part of an ongoing voter-preparedness push shared by Town Hall and the Weston Public Library.

Weston's fall calendar picks up Sept. 26 with two long-running traditions.
