Water Bills Due September 2, Town Announces

Lincoln's Water Department has mailed the town's latest water bills, with payment due Wednesday, September 2, and the Lincoln Public Library is inviting local artists to apply for its rotating gallery space, giving residents two practical items to note this week.

TOWN HALL

The town's News Flash feed reports that water bills went out this week and are due on September 2, 2026. Residents with questions about billing or payment options can find details through the town's water billing portal.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lincoln Public Library is accepting applications from artists who want to display work in its Art Gallery space, with submissions open now for consideration. The library also continues to caution patrons that construction tied to the "Lincoln Big Dig" project is complicating access to Library Lane and library parking, and it is advising visitors to build extra travel time into their trip; details are posted at lincolnbigdig.com.

Separately, the library is marking the departure of longtime Trustee Peter Sugar, who is stepping down from the Library Board of Trustees, and the community is invited to join in honoring his service. The library has also opened submissions for the Virginia Rundell Award and continues to promote its second annual Seed Library, now underway for patrons interested in borrowing seeds for home gardens.

On the calendar this week, the library's regular Knitting & Stitching Group meets August 5, alongside a reception for artist Michael DiToro, whose work is on display in the gallery.
