Tyngsborough Opens School Committee Seat, Surveys Seniors Center Hours
The town is asking qualified residents to step up for public service on two fronts this week: filling a School Committee vacancy and weighing in on a possible shift in hours at the Center for Active Living.
TOWN HALL
The Town of Tyngsborough is accepting applications from residents interested in filling a vacancy on the School Committee. The appointed member would serve through the May 2027 Annual Town Election. Residents interested in the seat are encouraged to contact Town Hall for details on how to apply.
Separately, the Council on Aging and Town Administration are gathering community input on a potential change in hours of operation at the Center for Active Living. Residents who use the center — or who would like to — are invited to complete a survey through the town's website to help shape the decision.
Tyngsborough Media is also running a Community Photo Contest open to local photographers. Submissions can be made through the town's website.
COMING UP
Two town meetings are scheduled for Monday, June 29: a Select Board Meeting and a Fire Station Building Committee meeting — both worth watching for residents tracking municipal planning and facilities decisions. The Tyngsborough Cultural Council meets Tuesday, June 30.
