BELMONT — Two unresolved Belmont land-use disputes drew attention heading into the weekend: a contested commercial redevelopment near the Pequossette neighborhood on Chestnut Street, and a single tree removal that has triggered a town wetlands hearing, according to Belmont Patch. Neither dispute has a resolution in sight, but both are expected to surface as three town boards convene for hearings in the first days of August.
TOWN HALL The Department of Public Works is reminding residents that yard waste pickup is running monthly, rather than weekly, from July through October, with an updated collection schedule posted on the town website.
