Burlington Biotech Firm To Merge, Fund $89 Million Cancer Trial

A biotechnology company headquartered in Burlington agreed late Friday to merge with a United Kingdom drugmaker in a deal designed to help finance an $89 million Phase III melanoma trial, according to a trade-press report. The all-share agreement is among the most consequential moves yet for a Burlington-based life-sciences firm.

Marshall Simonds Middle School students were recognized for bringing history to life through a statewide civics challenge, according to the district's news page. The recognition comes as Burlington Public Schools works through the final weeks of summer break, with teachers set to return for setup and professional development starting Aug. 25 and students back in classrooms for grades 1-12 on Aug. 31.
