Carlisle Select Board Seeks Input On Marijuana Delivery Ban

CARLISLE — Carlisle's Select Board is asking residents to weigh in on whether the town should seek a two-year state waiver to keep marijuana delivery services out of Carlisle, according to a News Flash posted to the town website.

The Select Board is seeking public input on whether Carlisle should request a temporary waiver from the Commonwealth that would let the town opt out of allowing marijuana delivery within its borders for two years. The board has not set a vote date, but the town's website is directing residents to submit comment ahead of any decision.

Separately, the town released the July edition of its Municipal Newsletter, rounding up recent town and community news and inviting submissions from local groups for future issues.

SCHOOLS

The Carlisle School Committee's next meeting is set for Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m. The district is also pointing families toward its 2026 summer learning resources, including grade-by-grade summer reading lists and math practice tools meant to keep students sharp before the new school year begins. The main office is keeping summer hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 7, with the School Street lot and playground reserved for students during summer school hours on weekdays.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets remotely Monday, Aug. 3. The Gleason Public Library Board of Trustees meets remotely Tuesday, Aug. 4. The Carlisle School Committee and the Cemetery Committee both meet Wednesday, Aug. 5, with the School Committee convening at 10 a.m.
