Sudbury shifts summer programming to a four-day integrated bridge camp after Parks and Rec partnership stalls. Superintendent Brad Crozier told the School Committee on January 26 that Sudbury Public Schools will replace last year's Smile and Explore programs with a four-day full-day camp running July 6 through June 30, aligned with Extended School Year services. Half-day tuition drops from $1,100 to roughly $860, with families now responsible for lunches and general transportation.

Business Administrator Dawn pegged last year's true program cost at $162,000 after tuition, with $40,000 in one-time METCO Inc. grant funding no longer available. The town's $200,000 allocation will underwrite the new camp, though committee member Nicole warned against spending it down given $800,000 in operating budget cuts. Director of Student Services Stephanie said legal counsel confirmed the four-day model provides "a comparable level of service" for IEPs currently specifying five days.

The committee also unanimously approved the superintendent's recommended annual town meeting warrant articles.
