School Committee approves superintendent job posting

SPS School Committee · Meeting of November 2, 2026

SUDBURY — The Sudbury School Committee approved the groundwork for its superintendent search on Monday. Members voted on roll calls to seat a 16-member screening committee, adopt its charge, approve a four-question community survey with translation services, set two in-person and two virtual forums, and post the job with an anticipated salary of $230,000 to $270,000. The Collins Center's Mary Accardi and Bill Lupini advised on process.

Later, Buck told members the town set fiscal 2028 guidance at 3.6 percent, not 5.53 percent, and said "hope is not a method" in discussing transportation bids opening Nov. 19. A speaker estimated the gap at about $950,000, and administrators said staffing and class sizes would be reviewed.
