STONEHAM — The town has been awarded a Community Compact IT grant to modernize record-keeping in the Building Department, while state lawmakers report securing $290,000 for local priorities in the new state budget.
TOWN HALL The Town of Stoneham announced it has been awarded a Community Compact IT grant aimed at modernizing Building Department records, according to a News Flash release posted by the town. Officials did not detail the grant amount or timeline for the upgrade in the release.
Separately, the town confirmed its Housing Production Plan has been approved, according to a News Flash notice, though further detail on the plan's contents was not included on the town's site as of Wednesday. The town also posted an update on the High School Wetlands Restoration Project, without elaborating on the project's current status.
The Stoneham Town Scholarship Committee is accepting applications from residents pursuing an educational goal for a $1,000 scholarship, with letters of application due by August 3, per the town's announcement.
