CrossTown Connect Wins $96,690 Grant to Relaunch Transit Programs
LITTLETON — CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association has been awarded a $96,690 state grant to relaunch regional transportation programs serving Littleton, the town announced Aug. 1. The same day, the town promoted in-person early voting ahead of the State Primary.

CrossTown Connect, the regional Transportation Management Association that coordinates shuttle and shared-ride services for Littleton and surrounding communities, received a $96,690 grant to relaunch its programs, according to a News Flash item posted on the town's website. The announcement did not detail which specific routes or services the funding will restore, but framed it as a step toward rebuilding regional transit options after a period of reduced service.
The town also flagged that in-person early voting for the State Primary is underway, directing residents to the Town Clerk's office for hours and details. Separately, the town continues to note ongoing work on the Shattuck Street traffic island that began July 20 and is expected to cause delays for several more weeks, and real estate tax bills remain due Aug. 3.
SCHOOLS
Littleton Public Schools flagged an update on its Shaker Lane building project via a banner on the district website, though no additional details accompanied the notice as of Aug. 1. Separately, the district's calendar shows staff returning Aug. 31 and kindergarten-through-12th-grade students starting the new school year Sept. 1, with schools closed Sept. 4 and for Labor Day on Sept. 7.
