READING — Reading is set to receive $50,000 in the fiscal year 2027 state budget to help replace a Council on Aging van, along with increases to the town's Chapter 70 school aid and unrestricted local aid, according to a report from the office of House Minority Leader Brad Jones published Wednesday.
TOWN HALL High Street remained closed to through traffic this week for a roadwork project running from July 14 through July 17, according to the town's News Flash service. Local businesses along the corridor stayed open and accessible during construction, the town said.
