Littleton Zoning Board grants a porch permit, stalls a larger two-family fight. The board unanimously approved a special permit for Gabriel and Kristyn May of 27 Lake Warren Drive to add a covered entry porch and bedroom addition, with Vice Chair Cheryl Cowley Hollinger moving to grant and David Outman seconding. A second case proved thornier: contractor Joe Cataldo sought a permit to convert a circa-1830 house at 359 King Street into a two-family home for owner Dwight Long, who described a longer-term plan for up to five residences on the five-acre parcel.

Hollinger, presiding after Chair Sherrill Gould recused herself, said town counsel Tom Harrington recommended a continuance to draft conditions; Cataldo objected, saying the board was "kicking it down the road." The board voted to continue that hearing to August 20 at 7:15 p.m.
