Planning Board approves floodplain form, drops RV section

TOWNSEND — The Townsend Planning Board approved a floodplain overlay special permit form with a $500 filing fee. Meeting with three of five members, the board voted 3-0 to strike a recreational vehicle section on the building commissioner's advice and add State Building Code language. Members also voted 3-0 to advance a Water Department update to the groundwater protection map reference, and to recommend Carol Hoffses for the Town Properties Committee.

A member said the board would "be inclined to prohibit" battery storage in the aquifer protection district, though no decision was made. The board adjourned at 7:57 p.m.
