New Cafe, Bistro Coming To Historic Wayland Building
Wednesday, July 22 — A new cafe and bistro is coming to a Wayland Center building that once served as the town's first town hall and library, according to Wayland Patch. Thursday, July 23 — The Wayland Department of Public Works will close Glezen Lane between Concord Road and Draper Road beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Friday, and again Monday, July 27, for continued construction work, extending closures the department had announced earlier in the week for a different stretch of the same road.
Thursday, July 23, 5-8 p.m. — Arts Wayland and the Wayland Recreation Department bring back Sunset Sessions at Wayland Town Beach, with music from Peter Lavenson & Friends as the sun sets over the water.
Friday, July 24 — The Vokes Players open their next production, "Over the River and Through the Woods," a romantic comedy by Joe DiPietro directed by David Berti, running through August 8 at Beatrice Herford's Vokes Theatre.
Sunday, July 26, 9 a.m. — The Wayland Museum & Historical Society leads its monthly "Walk, Wonder, and Discover" nature walk, part of the museum's Tracing Liberty series, at Alpine Field and Castle Hill Trail.
Monday, July 27, 7:30 p.m. — Arts Wayland hosts "The Songwriter's Woodshed" at its gallery on Andrew Avenue.
Monday, August 10 — Vendors have until this date to register for Wayland Fest 2026, an Arts Wayland-sponsored event set for October 3 at the Wayland Town Center.
