The National Weather Service in Boston has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Tyngsborough beginning at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, and running through 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 4. The warning spans the full Independence Day holiday weekend, a period when residents are likely to be outdoors for celebrations.

Town officials have flagged the alert prominently on the town website. Residents — especially older adults, young children, and those without air conditioning — are urged to take precautions, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on neighbors.
