Conservation Commission issues orders for two homes, continues 219-unit West Central project

NATICK — June 10, 2026 — Natick Conservation Commission advances 219-unit West Central transit project to July, approves two single-family orders. The commission on June 10 continued the Notice of Intent for Gables Residential's redevelopment of Natick Crossings at 273 West Central St. to July 16 and set a July 7 site walk, after consultant Natty King of Fort Point Associates outlined a five-story, 219-unit building with 258 parking spaces and a net reduction of roughly 8,100 square feet of impervious surface across the 25-foot, 40-foot and 100-foot buffer zones. Commissioner Jeff, citing his commuter familiarity with the rail-side bordering vegetated wetland, called the proposed no-disturb-zone work "threading a needle." The commission also unanimously issued orders of conditions for 56 Beaver Dam Road, which requires a 1,950-square-foot riverfront mitigation planting area, and 104 W. Central St., which requires additional post-demolition soil testing before construction may proceed. A negative three determination was issued for Ted Garland's two-car garage with ADU at 136 South Main St.
