City Confirms West Nile Virus in Marlborough Mosquitoes, Issues Advisory
MARLBOROUGH — City health officials confirmed West Nile virus in mosquitoes collected in Marlborough and issued a public advisory, while Mayor J. Christian Dumais's office announced a new provider for the city's emergency ambulance service.

The Marlborough Board of Health issued a public notice after the Massachusetts Department of Public Health detected West Nile virus in mosquitoes collected in the city. Marlborough Patch also reported the finding this week, and health officials are urging residents to take standard precautions against mosquito bites as the virus circulates locally.
Separately, Mayor Dumais's office announced that Coastal Medical Transportation Systems will become the city's new provider of emergency ambulance services. The mayor's office welcomed the company in a press release, though it did not detail a transition timeline for the change.
