Bedford Town Hall Entrance to Close Monday for ADA Work

BEDFORD — Town Hall's front entrance will close starting Monday, September 21, so crews can rebuilt it to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, the town announced, one of several items on a weekend that also saw the Bedford Recycling Center shut down for Bedford Day and a new public forum set on the future of the town's former fire station.

The town is reconstructing the front entrance to Town Hall to bring it into compliance with current ADA requirements, with work scheduled to begin on or around September 21. During construction, the existing front entrance, including its ramp and stairs, will be closed, according to the town's website.

Separately, the town will hold an in-person public forum on Tuesday, September 29, on the future use of the fire station at 55 The Great Road.

The Bedford Recycling Center was closed Saturday, September 19, while the town held Bedford Day.
