Acton Launches 'Ask Isaac' Digital Assistant for Residents
ACTON — The Town of Acton rolled out a new 24/7 digital assistant this week designed to help residents navigate town services, and Acton Parks and Recreation announced the town's first Rhythm & Brews harvest festival for later this month.

The Town of Acton has launched "Ask Isaac," a digital assistant available around the clock in more than 70 languages. According to the town, the tool is meant to help residents find information, navigate town resources, and submit service requests without waiting on office hours.
The town also released its September 2026 edition of the Municipal Monthly newsletter, available for download on the town website.
SCHOOLS
The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District has posted information on the search process for its next superintendent, including ways for community members to participate. The town is directing residents to that information through its website.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
Acton Parks and Recreation is planning the town's first A'KTOBERFEST, a Rhythm & Brews Festival, for Sunday, September 27, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Thomas E. Tidman Amphitheater at NARA Park.
Also on the calendar, Sunday marks the first-ever Acton Harvest Festival, celebrating the town's farmers and gardeners with homemade food, contests for homegrown produce, and harvest-themed games.
Acton Public Library has published its September-October newsletter and opened a full slate of programs for the week. Adult offerings include Meet-up Mondays on September 21, a Cookbook Club session September 22 built around "What to Cook When You Don't Feel Like Cooking," and the library's Mystery Book Club discussing "The Maid" on September 23. The library's Compassion-Knits group also meets September 23 to make donated knit and crochet items, and an outdoor walking group departs September 24.
The Children's Room kicked off its Great Halloween Costume Swap Drive, collecting gently used costumes for children ages zero through 11 through September 26, ahead of a swap event in October. Teen programming this week includes a quiet after-school meditation space on September 22 and a weekly Peace Crane Folding session on September 24.
