The department cited sustained, excessive non-essential water demand as the reason for the tightened rules. Residents are urged to review the department's outdoor watering guidance before using water outdoors for lawns, gardens or vehicle washing.
COMMUNITY & ARTS The J.V. Fletcher Library has lined up two new programs for the weeks ahead. Stickerpalooza, a craft-focused event for kids and families, is set for Thursday, September 10, from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Westford Recreation Department's Roudenbush Community Center. The library is also opening a new virtual series, "Historical Fiction Book Recs with Bestselling Author, Jane Healey," a four-part Zoom conversation beginning Tuesday, September 8, at 6:30 p.m. and continuing into December.
