Billerica's BSAP Sober Living Scholarship Subcommittee organized and reworked a draft framework for scholarships that would help eligible residents pay for certified sober living housing, to be paid for with opioid settlement money rather than tax dollars.
BSAP voted unanimously to split a new $20,000 budget into prevention, supplies and outreach funds.
The Billerica Substance Abuse Prevention committee reorganized its leadership and approved funding for two recovery fundraisers at its August 12 meeting. Members reelected Dina Favreau as chair, elected Darlene Torrey vice chair, elected Eric Szymanski treasurer and reelected Dan Viola secretary.
