Sudbury Transportation Committee moves to renew Catch Connect for another year. The committee voted 5-0 Friday to authorize Chair Dan Cardi to file a town meeting article seeking roughly $100,000 in free cash to continue the MWRTA-operated microtransit service, which logged just under 3,000 trips in 2025 and peaked at 147 rides the first week of December. Cardi said Select Board members were persuaded by ridership data from MWRTA's Daniel Fitch and a supportive memo from Health Director Vivian Zeng, who warned the "financial stuff is only going to be getting more challenging for people." The Coolidge, Musketaquid and Longfellow Glen ranked among top pickup sites.

The committee also tentatively backed a $30 cap for a new after-hours emergency Uber voucher program and agreed to draft a flash-vote survey testing resident interest in a shuttle to Framingham and Lincoln commuter rail stations.
