Sudbury sets club fees at $125 and preserves small clubs on superintendent Crozier's final night. The School Committee voted 5-0 to raise the student club fee from $100 to $125 for 2026-27 with no minimum enrollment requirement, rejecting a staff recommendation of $150 with thresholds that would have eliminated a diversity club, computer science club, and volleyball club. Chair Jessica McCready built a scenario spreadsheet showing the district roughly breaks even at $125 assuming a 15 percent scholarship rate.

"These clubs provide a strong sense of belonging to students the same way sports do," McCready said. The committee also approved a summer workshop led by Dr. Anthony Bent at up to $1,500 (4-0-1, Karen abstaining) and dissolved the superintendent search subcommittee ahead of a July 6 restart.

Superintendent Brad Crozier attended his final meeting after eight years; Assistant Superintendent Annette Doyle steps in July 1.
