Sudbury launches superintendent search RFP, rejects Jewish listening sessions after community pushback. The Sudbury School Committee voted 4-0 Monday to authorize Acting Director of Finance Buck Creel, a retired Lincoln finance director, to draft an RFP for a superintendent executive search firm, and unanimously approved contracts for Creel and Interim Assistant Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh, the retired Hopkinton superintendent, both hired by Interim Superintendent Annette Doyle. A proposal by Chair Jessica to hold Jewish family listening sessions at Temple Beth El and the Chabad Center died without a motion after task force co-chair Jackie Sousa told the committee it was "a delay" and members said the district should instead deliver a data presentation postponed since January.

The committee also unanimously joined the free MassCEC School Bus Advisory Services Program with Lincoln-Sudbury ahead of the joint transportation RFP; approved surplusing 12 Curtis cafeteria tables valued at $3,000; and heard that FY26 closed with $154.22 remaining. Haynes and Nixon roof demolition begins the weeks of July 27 and July 23 respectively, targeting September 1 completion.
