Sudbury's Liberty Ledge/Sewataro Advisory Committee sorted 23 brainstormed property options into six categories as it worked toward an October 31 recommendation deadline. The five-member committee, including Dave Henkels, Kay Bell, Granger Atkinson, Jennifer Pincus and Radha Gargaya, unanimously approved amended July 2 minutes and heard a Parks and Recreation Commission letter urging a "use agreement and management process" that expands recreational programming. Atkinson proposed splitting the camp's use agreement from its property-maintenance duties for future bidding, saying "the maintenance of the property should be considered a separate service from the property use." Planning staff member Adam Burney said the Select Board must vote September 1 to release a pending town counsel opinion on how far the panel can go without triggering a new bid process.
Members also flagged camper capacity, now near 700, and septic and well conditions as needing a full site study before any expansion or housing decisions.
