Sudbury 250 Committee approves final July 4 parade spending as it prepares to dissolve. The committee voted 4-0 Thursday to spend $164.97 on 1,500 beaded necklaces, $329.49 on 3,000 pieces of themed candy and $305.25 to rent two battery-powered speakers from Sudbury Taylor Rental, plus an honorarium for town crier Josh Templeman, who will read the Declaration of Independence from a float donated by Blade of Grass. Chair Radha Gargeya said the group remains within budget after a local wine and spirits retailer agreed to purchase its remaining consignment merchandise.

Members will distribute 500 commemorative pins along the parade route, with roughly 500 more headed to the town clerk's office, Fairbanks Community Center and potentially the next election in lieu of "I voted" stickers. Adoption of prior minutes was tabled pending an attendance estimate review. The committee dissolves Sept. 30.
