Stoneham Wins State IT Grant to Modernize Building Records
Stoneham has been awarded a state Community Compact IT Grant to modernize recordkeeping in its Building Department, the town announced Thursday, the same week Beacon Hill delivered a separate boost to Stoneham with $290,000 in state budget funding secured by the town's legislative delegation, according to a Patch report.
TOWN HALL The town announced Thursday that it has received a Community Compact IT Grant to modernize records in the Building Department, according to a Town Hall News Flash post. The grant comes through the state's Community Compact Cabinet program, which funds local technology and efficiency upgrades; the announcement did not detail the grant's dollar value or an implementation timeline.
Separately, the Stoneham Town Scholarship Committee is accepting letters of application from residents pursuing an educational goal for a $1,000 scholarship. Applications are being accepted through Aug. 3.
