Sherborn Library Closes July 3-4 for Independence Day Weekend

DATELINE — SHERBORN

Sherborn wraps up June on a quiet administrative note, with no new town announcements in the coverage window, though residents should mark a few dates on the calendar as the Fourth of July weekend approaches.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Sherborn Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Summer hours are otherwise in effect through the season: Monday noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Friday closes at 4), Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The library's Summer Reading 2026 program — themed "Plant a Seed, Read" — is running through August 31, and patrons of all ages are encouraged to participate. A programs calendar on the library's website lists a July 8 evening event at 6:30 p.m. and a July 23 afternoon event at 2 p.m.; full details are available at sherbornlibrary.org.

The library is also still accepting applications for two part-time Student Library Aide positions at the newly renovated and expanded building on Sanger Street.
