Sherborn Board of Health Urges Water Conservation Amid Continuing Drought

SHERBORN — Sherborn's Board of Health is asking private well owners to conserve water as the town remains in drought, warning that falling groundwater elevations could affect both the quantity and quality of well water.

TOWN HALL In a News Flash posted July 13, the town said continuing drought conditions are causing groundwater elevations to decline, which can strain both how much water a private well produces and its quality. Residents with concerns about their wells were asked to contact the Board of Health directly.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Sherborn Library has pushed back its Summer Concert, originally scheduled for July 15, to Wednesday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. The rescheduled show will feature the band So Lucky. The library is currently operating on summer hours, open Monday through Saturday with varying times and closed Sundays.

COMING UP Sherborn's committee calendar picks up next week. The Open Space Committee and the Recreation Commission both meet Monday, July 20, followed by the Planning Board and the Library Trustees on Tuesday, July 21.
