S&P Raises Marlborough's Bond Rating To 'AAA'

S&P Global has raised Marlborough's general obligation bond rating to "AAA," the rating agency reported over the weekend, as City Hall separately posted notices updating its Community Choice power supply program and the renewal of its cable license with Comcast.

TOWN HALL City Hall posted an updated public notice on its Community Choice Power Supply Program Sunday, covering the rate period from August 2026 through January 2027, a continuation of the pricing update the city announced earlier this month. Separately, the city posted a legal notice on renewing its cable-television license agreement with Comcast and flagged its Fiscal Year 2026 water and sewer rate schedule on the city website.

SCHOOLS Marlborough Public Schools is urging families to complete registration for the 2026-2027 school year, according to the district's website, which also points parents to information on 2026 summer programs, busing, and the ongoing Richer Building Project.

COMMUNITY & ARTS The Marlborough Public Library has a full slate of children's programming this week, including Musical Mondays with Ms. Mae and a Duct-Tape Flowers craft session, both Monday, plus a Read to a Dog session Monday evening.
