Planning Board Continues Plaza 62 Hearings to Oct. 15
Planning Board · Meeting of October 1, 2026
Burlington Planning Board stalls again on a Plaza 62 restaurant plan amid Prouty Road safety fears. Traffic peer reviewer Michael White of Howard Stein Hudson told the board five comments on the applicant's traffic study remain unresolved, including whether delivery services like Uber Eats are adequately counted. Resident Jennifer Priest cited the applicant's own data showing the level of service for drivers leaving Prouty Road would drop "from a level of service E without the project to a level of service F with it, the lowest rating." Neighbor Delma Doyle read a statement opposing the project outright, warning of "undue congestion and a safety hazard to pedestrians, many of whom are children and elderly residents." The board voted 6-0 by roll call to continue both the 85 Wilmington Road site plan and separate Chick-fil-A and CrossPoint Associates applications for 2 Wall Street to October 15.
