Pepperell's Capital Program Committee narrowed its infrastructure priority list at its June 22 meeting, deferring generators for Town Hall and the library while advancing masonry repairs at the public library toward a fall town meeting ask. Chair David Ganong and member Andrew McLean reported that $117,000 in Community Preservation Committee funds is in hand for the library's highest-level brickwork, with a revised bid specification expected out before July 4; the committee is targeting a $300,000 capital request for remaining masonry phases. McLean noted that the fire chief is the first he has met to question whether each town needs its own ladder truck, and described active regionalization talks with 13 neighboring communities.
