Pepperell Agricultural Commission locks in eight farms for its October 4 Open Farm Day and debates a groundbreaking role in a shared-use farm venture. Co-Chair Sherrill Rosoff, running the meeting for Lucille McKain, said the commission has "eight farms" confirmed, including Upswing, Kimstead, Kimball's and Lucy's, plus a 5 p.m. spaghetti dinner at the Grange. Member Naomi Soden pressed on farmer exit terms, asking, "Is it something they can pull out of if they can't handle it?" Minutes for July 15 and August 11 were approved unanimously, and members are drafting a letter to House Ways and Means urging a Farm Bill vote by December 31.
