READING -- Twenty homes changed hands in Reading over the past month, with prices ranging from $430,000 for a condominium unit to $2.275 million for a Pearl Street property, according to deeds recorded at the South Middlesex Registry of Deeds.
MARKET OVERVIEW Twenty sales were recorded in Reading between June 19 and July 18. Among the 16 transactions that disclosed a sale price, prices ranged from $430,000 to $2,275,000, with a median sale price of $812,000. The remaining four transfers did not disclose a sale price; all four involved transfers within the same family name or into a trust. Twenty recorded sales in a one-month span is a notable volume of activity for the town, based on the raw count alone.
TOP SALES 539 Pearl St. sold for $2,275,000 on June 26, the highest-priced transaction of the period. Christopher G. Pape and Carolina Pape, as trustees, sold the property to Daniel John Concessi Jr. and Kara Elizabeth Concessi.
223 Franklin St. sold for $1,061,000 on June 25. Michael F. Curren and Paula G. Curren sold the property to the James M. Strampe Family Trust, with James M. Strampe as trustee.
44 Pitman Dr. sold for $1,010,000 on June 25. Josephine C. Ferrigno, as trustee of a revocable trust, sold the property to Yousra Bekhti and Sami Meziane.
16 Taylor Dr., Unit 3003, sold for $950,000 on June 24. The Taylor Drive Realty Trust, with Edward T. Moore as trustee, sold the unit to Lori Spadea.
18 Aurele Cir. sold for $870,000 on June 26. Kristin Abrams sold the property to Renato Oliveira Papa and Sandra Teixeira Lima.
NEIGHBORHOOD BREAKDOWN Pearl Street was the most active street in the period, with three recorded sales: 394 Pearl St. ($710,000), 570 Pearl St. ($660,000) and 539 Pearl St. ($2,275,000). Gazebo Circle also saw two sales, both condominium units: 812 Gazebo Cir., Unit 812 ($630,000) and 513 Gazebo Cir., Unit 513 ($550,000).
