Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of July 14, 2026
Medford's Community Preservation Committee funds Osgood House repairs and a baseball scoreboard, weighs a role in the new high school. Members voted 8-0 to recommend $10,000 to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Medford for fiberglass gutter and storm-window repairs at the 1785 Osgood House, and 8-0 to add $32,000 in contingency funding for a digital scoreboard at Mombo Cat Field after bids came in at $123,400. Jenny Graham, chair of the Medford Comprehensive High School Building Committee, pitched the panel on funding outdoor elements of the school rebuild, calling it "incumbent upon us as a community to move as fast as we can," while member Doug warned the project's scale "will represent, I think, 20 or 30 years of CPC funds total." Staff previewed nearly $3.4 million in prospective requests for the next cycle against a roughly $2.3 million annual budget.
